TwinGlaze® Double Glazing includes an exterior and interior pane of Toughened Safety Glass which is comprised of tempered glass that has a high impact resistence to provided enhanced security for your home.

Toughened glass, also known as tempered glass, is four to five times stronger than standard glass and will crumble uniformly into small fragments or pebbles, rather than splintering into dangerous shards if struck by an extremely hard impact.

The interior pane of Toughened glass has further enhanced thermal properties through the inclusion of a special Low 'E' Nano-Metallic Coating.

TwinGlaze® Double Glazing incorporates a Thermal Insulating Argon Gas gap between the two panes of glass to achieve maximum energy efficiency and thermal performance.

Dense, crystal clear, non-toxic argon gas is infused in between the two panes of glass in the insulated glass unit (IGU) to significantly enhance double glazing performance by an extra 10% when used in the place of common dehydrated air.

The Argon Air Cushion is hermetically sealed between the two glazing panes to enhance the lifelong thermal performance of your double glazing.

TwinGlaze® includes an interior pane of 4mm Toughened Safety Glass with Low 'E' to further enhance the year round energy efficiency and performance of your double glazing.

Low 'E' is a transparent nano-metallic coating that is infused onto the interior pane of toughened safety glass to further enhance the performance of your double glazing in Summer & Winter.

Low 'E' reflects harsh direct sunlight and UV away from your home in Summer while reflecting your indoor generated heat back into your home in Winter to deliver life long savings on heating & cooling bills.

TwinGlaze® privacy glass options are available for your bathroom, ensuite or other areas in your home where you need to obscure the vision through your window.

TwinGlaze® Tinted is available where you want to maximise protection against direct sunlight (Radiant Heat) or slightly increase privacy by toning down the light from outside.

Any minor loss in thermal break through the use of the Slim-Line Insertion Adapter is more than absorbed and compensated for by the High Energy Efficiency of the TwinGlaze® 1.63 U-Value High Performance Double Glazing.

U-Values measure the rate of transfer of heat (energy loss) through all glass and double glazing to help homeowners select the best performing glazing for their homes.

Double Glazing with the lowest U-Value achieves the greatest energy efficiency and reduction in heat loss from your home.

Single Pane Glass has a U-Value of 5.2 which translates to virtually no protection against heat loss while standard double glazing can range from U-Value 2.5 to 3.0 depending on the glass combination used by other manufacturers in their double glazing units.

RADIANT HEAT (direct sunlight)
Solar Heat Transfer in a Double Glazing Unit is measured by the units Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC).

Radiant Heat is the heat generated by direct sunlight through a window system. TwinGlaze® Double Glazing has a SHGC of 0.60.

TwinGlaze® double glazing effectively addresses radiant heat transfer into your home by reflecting 40% of solar radiation away from your home to reduce glare and Solar Heat Gain. TwinGlaze® further boosts the thermal performance of your double glazing in colder days by reflecting the Infrared Heat you generate through your heating system back into your home in Winter.

What Is Visible Light Transmission ?

VLT is a measure of Visible Light that is transmitted through a material. TwinGlaze® has a VLT of 80 while standard single glazing has a VLT of 90.

This means that TwinGlaze® will allow 80% of Visible Light to enter the Home while standard single glazing allows up to 90%.

TwinGlaze utilises Low E Coating which achieves a reduction in UV Radiation from entering the home as it reflects the radiant solar heat that is emitted by the sun.

Protecting your home from UV Radiation also prevents fading of floors and interior furnishings.

Will the TwinGlaze be more reflective than standard Glazing?

All Double Glazing creates a very slight mirroring effect due to the proximity of the two glass sheets compare to single glazing.

TwinGlaze® Double Glazing can be installed into any existing aluminium window.

Our In House Technicians can replace the glass in any existing window system in homes from 1970 to brand new homes where the builder chose to install single glazed windows.

The only time an existing window is unable to be double glazed is if the windows are severely deteriorated.
